Terms of Service

Welcome to Coin Sense. By downloading, installing, or using the Coin Sense mobile application (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. Educational Use Only

IMPORTANT: Coin Sense is an educational and entertainment tool. AI identification results and value estimates are just that — estimates — and may be inaccurate. The App does not provide professional numismatic, financial, or appraisal advice. Always consult a qualified professional for decisions involving valuable coins or financial matters.

2. No Guarantees of Accuracy or Value

The App uses AI image analysis and reference pricing data to suggest coin identifications and value ranges. Value estimates are ranges (low/likely/high) derived from reference data and AI analysis — they are not appraisals. We do not guarantee that any identification or value estimate is correct. Factors such as photo quality, lighting, angle, coin wear, and market fluctuations can significantly affect accuracy. Results include confidence scores to indicate the level of certainty.

3. Not an Appraisal

Value estimates are not appraisals. For coins of meaningful value, consult a professional numismatist or a recognized grading service such as PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service) or NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Company). Do not rely on the App for buy, sell, insurance, or investment decisions. Coin Sense is designed to spark curiosity and learning, not to replace professional expertise.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

The App offers auto-renewing subscriptions through Apple’s App Store or Google Play. Payment is charged to your account upon purchase confirmation. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID or Google Play settings. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the App
  • Submit content that is harmful, offensive, or infringes on others’ rights
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the App or its servers

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, images, encyclopedia content, and features, is owned by Coin Sense, a product of SenseApps (Hugo Bazan LLC), and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Coin Sense, a product of SenseApps (Hugo Bazan LLC), shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to decisions made based on identification or value estimate results, financial losses, or reliance on estimates that prove inaccurate.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

9. Account Deletion

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time by visiting sense-apps.co/delete-account or by using the “Delete Account” option in the app settings. Account data will be permanently removed within 30 days of confirmation.

10. Apple App Store — Additional Terms

If you downloaded the App from Apple’s App Store, the following additional terms apply:

  • Apple as Third-Party Beneficiary: These Terms are between you and SenseApps (Hugo Bazan LLC). Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to enforce them. Apple has no warranty or maintenance obligations for the App.
  • Apple EULA: Your use of the App is also subject to Apple’s standard End User License Agreement available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
  • Scope of License: The license granted to you for the App is limited to a non-transferable license to use the App on Apple-branded products you own or control, subject to the Usage Rules set forth in Apple’s App Store Terms of Service.
  • Maintenance and Support: SenseApps (Hugo Bazan LLC), not Apple, is solely responsible for providing maintenance and support services for the App.
  • Product Claims: SenseApps (Hugo Bazan LLC), not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App or your use of it.
  • Third-Party Claims: In the event of any third-party claim that the App infringes a third party’s intellectual property rights, SenseApps (Hugo Bazan LLC), not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.

11. Google Play Store — Additional Terms

If you downloaded the App from Google Play, the following additional terms apply:

  • Google as Third-Party Beneficiary: These Terms are between you and SenseApps (Hugo Bazan LLC). Google is not a party to these Terms.
  • Google Play Terms: Your use is also subject to Google Play Terms of Service.
  • Automatic Updates: The App may update automatically via Google Play.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
